Used to secured the bottom of the accommodation ladder to the ship's side and insures the accommodation ladder tests firmly against the ships side. (Requested by the amendments 2000 to the SOLAS regulation. Chapter V. Regulation 23 Pilot Trasfer Arrangement) The arrangement shall be provided to enable the pilot to embark and disembark safely in conjunction with the pilot ladder, or other equally safe and convenient means, whenever the distance from the surface fo the water to the point fo access to the ship is more then 9 meters. 

Can be operated from free supplied deck air at 6 to 7 kgf/cm², and the unit is made from non ferrous material therefore is resistance to corrosion.
